Hello again, writing to you from our hotel room in Yreka, CA.
What. A. Whirlwind.
Yesterday we were frantically clearing out our apartment and tetris-packing our cars, today we're nearly 500 miles from Seattle. Needless to say, we're tired. Our cats, however, are probably going to be chalk-full of energy all night long as they slept like, 10 hours straight today. They're so lazy.
We didn't leave Seattle until 10:00am today. Not that we slept in, we were up before 6:30. That's just how long it took us to get ready. As you might guess, we're still working on being efficient parents (is that a real thing?). We missed Seattle traffic but hit a little in Tacoma and then Portland really slowed down. The rest of the drive was fairly easy.
Quentin did surprisingly well in the car today, he's such a little trooper! He only had two big crying fits while we were driving, and otherwise he slept or was trying to make me laugh. He is such a jokester (much like his Dada, albeit less puns). I will say thank you universe--aka Amazon--for Creative Galaxy. That show came in clutch when we were 30 miles out from Yreka and Q decided he was going to lose his shit. Yes, our newly 7-month-old watches TV sometimes. For shame! *insert eyeroll here*
Oh by the way Q is 7-months-old today. I know. It's weird. We asked him to remain a baby forever but I'm not sure he took us very seriously.
We had to make extra stops on the drive of course, so it only took oh, an extra 3 hours to get to our hotel. Also we fed Quentin his first bites of french fry and then he immediately spit them up. He's so healthy.
