Hello friends and family! We are way past due for an update, so here you go:
Quentin is now almost 3 years old and just the best kid around! He still loves his cars and trucks, but more specifically construction vehicles and tow trucks. He loves to read, and his current favorites are Cat in the Hat, Dear Zoo, and Construction Site on Christmas Night. The Christmas one is not that surprising considering every night before bed he requests we sing either White Christmas or Blue Christmas.
He is currently attending a developmental preschool that is part of our school district. While there, Quentin receives both speech and occupational therapy and takes part in an otherwise fairly typical preschool experience. His teacher is kind and very attentive to his needs. Every day at dropoff she brings out a different toy vehicle for him to play with to help him transition and we just love her!
Recently we got a trampoline for him (thanks to his great aunt and uncle Shillito!), and he is on it for most of the day. He does what he refers to as "humongous jumps" which are jumps that are the same size as all his other jumps. Obviously, we just say "wow!" and "so cool!" every time, which is what most of parenting is anyway.
Since my last blog post like a year ago, Brian is officially a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and told me to tell you that he's gotten a lot of practice with his dad jokes lately and is really hitting his stride.
I took a few classes at our local community college and did really well and enjoyed them, but I'm not sure that pursuing a graduate degree is for me. Homework kind of sucks.
Now that we got our shots and Quentin is great at wearing his mask, we have a couple trips coming up that we're really looking forward to! In early October we'll be attending a wedding and luckily, the people we'll be interacting with are vaccinated. Then in December, we'll be heading up to Seattle for a week. We have some plans already, but if you're vaccinated and would like to see us, please shoot me a text!
And now for some toddler photo spam. Please enjoy.
